May 11, 2016 - North American Hockey League (NAHL) - Johnstown Tomahawks News Release

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Tomahawks announced Wednesday that defensemen Logan Hudson committed to play NCAA Division III college hockey in the fall.

Hudson committed to Aurora University, which is located in Aurora, Illinois. The defenseman spent three season with the Tomahawks and earned the role of captain in 2015-16.

The Spartans compete in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.

"Logan was a warrior for our team for three seasons," Tomahawks head coach Mike Letizia said. " His path to our team is one that is very inspirational. He came to camp in 2013 and was just not quite there, then he came back during the season and proved he belonged in Johnstown."

The native of Mattawan, Michigan, played 123 games for the Tomahawks, scoring two goals and five assists. The defenseman racked up 412 penalty minutes, which is a franchise record.

"He showed so much growth over his career and became the captain in his final year," Letizia said. "I am proud of Logan and he is a great choice for Aurora."
